Itinerary
DAY 01 Kota Kinabalu / Mountain Resthouse (PL,D)
Depart at 0630 hours for 2 hours drive to Kinabalu Park HQ known for its diverse range of flora and fauna and the majestic Mount Kinabalu. The local KadazanDusun named it Aki Nabalu or “Revered Place of the Death”. It is believed that the spirits of the tribe’s dead ancestors dwell among the forbidden peaks. You will register for the climb at the Park HQ and proceed to Timpohon Gate, the starting point of your mountain scaling trip. One extraordinary sight is that you will notice the change of vegetation from Oak and Chestnut to mossy forest and eventually to alpine vegetation when you finally reach your overnight based at 2,800m.

DAY 02 Summit / Kinabalu Park / Kota Kinabalu__(B.L)
At 0230 hours, you start ascending to the summit of Mount Kinabalu (4092.5m) above sea level. This will allow you to catch the spectacular sunrise and beautiful photographs at the summit called Low’s Peak. We will return to Laban Rata Resthouse and descend to the Timpohon Gate. Transportation will await you and bring you to the Park Headquarters to collect certificate of achievements. After lunch, head back to Kota Kinabalu.

EXAMPLE 3D2N MOUNT KINABALU ADVENTURE
Day 1 No Meals
Depart from your hotel at 0700 hours then proceed about 2 hours towards the Kinabalu Park’s Headquarters – along the way, a brief stop at Nabalu market for local handicraft shopping – a chance for a panoramic view from the observation area – after the tour, continue journey towards Fairy Garden for your check in and overnight stay
Day 2 Breakfast/Packed Lunch/Dinner
Depart from your hotel at 0830 hours then proceed towards the starting point – upon arrival proceed to counter for registration – packed lunch will be provided – get your name tag & meet your local Mt Guide – proceed to the timpohon gate for your climb – upon arrival at the mt hut, check in & relax for next day’s climb
Day 3 Breakfast/Lunch
Wake up at 0200 hours for your early light breakfast – 0300 hours meet your mt guide for critical briefing then depart for the summit – descend to laban rata for your breakfast - descend back to timpohon gate – transfer to the headquarters for your certificate – lunch at restaurant – after lunch, proceed towards Poring Hot springs for your relaxing dip in the hot sulfur sauna tub – by late afternoon, transfer back to kota kinabalu for your transfer out.

Note: All items to be carried should be packed in plastic bags (in case it rains).
Things required during the climb should be carried in a small knapsack.
Gloves will get damp during second day's climb. If you have waterproof gloves,
one pair will suffice.
Special Note: It is recommended that all climbers should have themselves medically checked before attempting any mountain climb. If you have a history of suffering from the following ailments, it is highly recommended that you should refrain from climbing: Hypertension, Diabetes, Palpitation,, Arthritis, Heart Disease, Severe Anemia, Peptic Ulcers, Epileptic Fit, Obesity ( Overweight ), Chronic Asthma, Muscular Cramps, Hepatitis ( jaundice ) or any other disease which may hamper the climber.
